NUPENG suspends strike action

Petroleum Tanker Drivers has called off the industrial strike action which was started during the morning hours today following a meeting between the union leaders and NNPC in Abuja.

This was reveled by the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru who announced to the tanker drivers that the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has approved an increase of tanker drivers’ bridging allowance from 6.20 Naira to 7.20 Naira.
